Crawler Introduces Online Storage Synchronization

April 12, 2006: With the growing popularity of Online Storage at Crawler.com, we've decided to develop a new feature that will allow you to synchronize your Online Storage with your computer to make your Crawler experience even more convenient.

With the Crawler Toolbar you can synchronize your Online Storage with a selected folder on you computer thanks to feature called Synchronized Folder.

You can also view and access your Online Storage content with a single click thanks to Virtual Storage! Both new features settings are located within the Email Notifier tab.

Virtual Storage

Virtual Storage shows a preview of your Online Storage: it gives you an overview of its contents and allows you to access your Online Storage with a single click. You can setup shortcuts to access your Virtual Storage in the same way as you would access a folder on your computer.

Synchronized Folder

The Crawler Toolbar gives you the option to select a folder on your computer whose content will be synchronized with you Online Storage. In other words, if you add a file to the synchronized folder on your computer, it will be automatically uploaded to your Online Storage. Whenever you delete a file from your Online Storage, it will be deleted from your synchronized folder. When you rename a file, its copy in the synchronized folder will be renamed too. These rules apply in both directions.
