How to use the FixFW application?

If you are having problems with Crawler Toolbar, browser skin, screensaver or cursor installation, please, follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on one of the links below:
    http://dnl.crawler.com/support/FixFW.exe
    (if you don't use any compression utility such as WinZip or IzArc)
    http://dnl.crawler.com/support/FixFW.zip
    (if you use a compression utility such as WinZip or IzArc).

  2. Click on the "Open" button.

    If you can't see the dialog window above, please see the error instructions below.
  3. Click on the "Yes" button.
  4. Click on the "OK" button.

Error Instructions:

If you see any of the following dialog windows, please follow the instructions given below the pictures.

  • You are using operating system different from Windows XP. Your problem must consist in something else than your XP SP2 Firewall Settings. Please, contact Crawler support and describe yourproblem, including the information that you have tried to fix your firewall settings with FixFW application.
  • No active firewall was detected on your computer. Your problem must consist in something else than your XP SP2 Firewall Settings. Please, contact Crawler support and describe yourproblem, including the information that you have tried to fix your firewall settings with FixFW application.
  • If you see the dialog window displayed below, please follow the instruction given below the image:

    1. Click "Start" and then select the "Control Panel" option.
    2. Then double-click the "Windows Firewall" settings window.
    3. Now click on the "Don't allow exceptions" checkbox to leave it empty and click on the "OK" button.
  • You are not administrator on your computer. Please, contact the administrator of your computer and ask him/her to run this application for you.
