How do I create a new note?

Desktop Notes allow you to create a new note in several ways:

  • Using the Notes button - Click on the Desktop Notes button and select the type of note that you want to create:
    • New From Selection - Creates a new note containing selected text (on a website).
    • New Note - Creates a new blank note.
    • New From Clipboard - Creates a new note containing text copied into clipboard.

  • Using the Notes tray icon - Right-click the Desktop Notes tray icon and select the type of note that you want to create:
    • New Note - Creates a new blank note.
    • New From Clipboard - Creates new note containing text copied into clipboard.

  • Using hotkeys - You can set your own 'shortcuts' to create new notes in Notes tab by clicking in the field and pressing your shorcut key on your keyboard. This way you will be able to create a new note even faster.

A new note will be created according to your default note settings unless you want to change its appearance by clicking on the spanner icon in the upper right corner of the note.

After you select your note color, font and other settings, click on the "OK" button and start typing your note.

You don't have to save your notes, anytime you click outside the note, it is automatically being saved and when you want to continue typing it again, just double-click the note.
