How do I configure Bat! to send and receive mail from my Crawler email account?
To configure The Bat! to send and receive your Crawler.com mail, follow these steps:
Open The Bat! Email client, and select the "New..." option from the "Account" menu.
Enter your name on the Crawler.com Account in the "Account name:" field, e.g., John - Crawler, and click on the "Next" button.
Enter your full name in the "Your Name:" field. Enter your full Crawler email address (email@example.com) in the "Email Address:" field, enter your Organization Name, and click on the "Next" button.
Select POP3 as the type of incoming server you are using. Enter my.crawler.com in the "Incoming mail server address:" field and in the "SMTP server address:" field. Select the "My SMTP server requires authentication..." checkbox and click on the "Next" button.
Enter your full Crawler email address in the "Username:" field, then enter your password and click on the "Next" button.
Select the method that you use to connect to the Internet and click on the "Next" button.
Select the "Yes" option and click on the "Finish" button.
If your ISP provider blocks the default SMTP port 25, you may use alternate ports 465 or 587 to send your emails. To change the default SMTP port, click on the "Account" menu and select the "Properties" option.
Then select the "Transport" tab and enter the alternate port number into the "Port" column.
Congratulations! You've just configured your client to send and receive Crawler messages.
